Delaney Farwell

Delaney Farwell is a community forestry member with the Climate Impact Corps serving at the Mississippi Park Connection. She will be helping manage the gravel beds, working some volunteer events, and doing all things tree.

Delaney graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois in 2023. She has a B.A. in both English and Environmental Studies. Previously, she has done work for the Upper Mississippi Center researching perceptions and attitudes as drivers of stakeholder management in impaired watersheds, riparian zone assessments, lead service line identification and replacement plans, and water quality hotspot analysis. Last summer, she was a naturalist at the Forest Park Nature Center in central Illinois where she led guided hikes and various educational programs. She is passionate about environmental justice, outreach, and understanding what makes people care about the world around them. Delaney is excited to be a part of the team and learn more about all things ecological.
