David coordinates the River Educator Program and is the main point of contact for teachers who are registering for Big River Journey, Take Me to the River and Mississippi Park Connection’s online programs, among others.
David is an experienced formal educator, team leader, innovator, strategist, and creative communicator. Driven by a passion for outdoor education, he takes pride in developing and implementing programs that reach all learners and curiosity seekers who want to access and experience their natural surroundings.
His goal is to support the National Park Service in creating educational programs taht are informative, inclusive, delightful, and life-changing.
Interests
David enjoys a wide variety of pursuits including biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, kayaking, hockey, photography, writing, podcasting, fast travel, intermittent ukulele, cat herding, and growing micro-greens.
