The Minnesota national park sites are teaming up this year to bring a virtual National Park Week experience to you. Explore all six sites through live online activities, downloadable workbooks, solo adventuring in a local park, trip planning live chats, and connecting on social media.
Junior Ranger Day - April 18
Junior Ranger Day celebrates a program that engages youth with national parks across the country through workbooks and activities.
Mississippi National River and Recreation Area will host a Junior Ranger activity on Facebook Live at 10 AM CST. You do not need to have a Facebook account to watch the video and follow along, but you do need to have an account to comment and ask questions. To join in, you'll need the following supplies:
empty toilet paper tubes
soil
native plant seeds (or garden seeds)
scissors
an adult to help (if needed)
clear takeout container
