This FREE educator workshop hosted by the National Park Service will get you outside and on the river this summer. Learn about the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, your national park in the Twin Cities.
Who is it for?
Metro elementary educators teaching in grades 3-6. This workshop is an inspiring introduction to the Mississippi River and how to connect it to your classroom.
Part One of the workshop is a (required) online webinar to discover the exciting education programs offered by the park and how you can participate next school year. We also want to hear your ideas for navigating the new school year and how we can help you get your students connected to the outdoors.

Wednesday, July 8, 9 AM - 12 PM
Part Two is a chance to learn more about the great Mississippi River and its importance to the Twin Cities area through an interpretive kayak ride on the river! We will provide the boats, paddles, safety vests, and professionally trained staff for a great educational outing.
