Big River Journey Field Trip Assistant

Tuesday, May 6; 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Weekdays; May 7-8, 13-15, & 20-22; 9:30 - 2:00 PM

Big River Journey (BRJ) is an integration of river and classroom experiences that connect 3rd-5th grade students with the science and heritage of the Mississippi River, and promote stewardship. Volunteers are needed to assist with a riverboat excursion on the Mississippi River featuring hands-on learning stations.

On Tuesday, May 6, shifts start at 9:00 AM to set up stations before field trip programming. Shifts on all other days will begin at 9:30 AM. While there is no volunteer training session, volunteers are encouraged to visit Big River Journey Online to refresh and learn about programs.

On your first shift, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete the required Volunteer Service Agreement form before volunteering and to get trained on your station. Only register for shifts you can commit to attending.
