Ȟaȟa Wakpá (the Mississippi River) is central to Dakota culture. She is a living relative and source of abundance and power. Join Barry Hand, Dakota language instructor and program director for Owámniyomni Okhódayapi, on a guided riverboat tour of these waters. Learn about Dakota lifeways and consider how we can restore our relationship to the River.

Enjoy a riverboat cruise on the spectacular Mississippi River and participate in a program led by the National Park Service and special guest speaker Barry Hand.

In addition to gaining more knowledge from our guest speakers, participants will enjoy wildlife, scenic sunset views, and a cash bar. Boarding begins at 5:30pm; boat leaves promptly at 6.
