Ready, get set, paddle! Mississippi River Paddle Share opens for the season on Memorial Day Weekend. Here’s some helpful tips and tricks for Paddle Share:
Paddle Share offers four river routes starting in Brooklyn Park at Mississippi Gateway Park or River Park, and Minneapolis at North Mississippi Park or Bohemian Flats. We also offer a lake paddling experience in St. Paul at Pickerel Lake.
Reservations can be made up to 21 days in advance.
Paddle Share is open Friday through Monday at most of our 5 locations (see table below for details).
Members of Mississippi Park Connection get 10% off all reservations. If you're a member and did not receive your discount code, or if you would like to become a member, please contact info@parkconnection.org.
The National Park Service is offering kayak events for beginners or those wanting more experience at the Pickerel Lake station starting in June. Adaptive paddling equipment is available at these events. Visit parkconnection.org for more info.
Starting in June through the season in September the National Park Service will be offering regular paddle with a ranger programs at least weekly on Paddle Share routes. Visit parkconnection.org for more info.
