Ready, get set, paddle! Mississippi River Paddle Share opens for the season on Memorial Day Weekend. We have some exciting changes this year!
NEW ROUTE! NEW BOATS! The Gorge route, from Bohemian Flats Park near the University of Minnesota west bank to the Minneapolis Rowing Club near the Lake Street Bridge, brings paddlers through the only true gorge on the Mississippi River! This route features brand new RED kayaks from our partner, Current Designs.
Reservations can now be made up to 21 days in advance.
The City route (North Mississippi Regional Park to Boom Island) now has an 'early bird' reservation slot from 9AM-3PM in addition to the regular 11AM-5PM slot.
Paddle Share is open 6 days a week including holidays at 4 out of 5 locations (see table below for details).

The National Park Service is offering kayak events for beginners or those wanting more experience at the Pickerel Lake station. Adaptive paddling equipment is available at these events. Visit parkconnection.org for more info.
