This Bike with a Ranger program begins at The Commons in downtown Minneapolis and takes you to historic stops along the river. Witness the evolution of a mill city that grew around water, power, and massive flour mills. Significant sites that you will stop at for a short historical and cultural talk lead by a park ranger are:
Nicollet Island
Boom Island
Bohemian Flats
The only waterfall on the Mississippi River, St. Anthony Falls.
Space is limited to 20 people. Please register and plan to arrive 15 minutes early in order to start the event on time. Bring your own bike and helmet or rent one from a nearby bike sharing platform.
