Working River Tour: Upper River Services (SOLD OUT)

How many semi trucks worth of cargo can fit on a single barge? How are the barges cleaned and repaired? What is the environmental impact of moving goods on the river? Get all of your burning barge related questions answered while checking out the shipyards, meeting the crew, and riding down the river on a towboat!

  • Attendees must be 18 years or older and sign a liability waiver.

  • Please wear flat, closed toe shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Portions of the tour will take place outside and on a boat on the river.

  • Attendees must be able to climb stairs, walk over class 5 gravel in a shipyard, and board a towboat via a steel walkway. While we try to make the tour as safe as possible, we ask that you always be aware of your surroundings and watch your step.

  • We highly encourage (safe) photography. You will have exclusive vantage points of Saint Paul and the working river.

  • Life jackets will be provided.

  • Parking available on site.

  • Space is limited and registration is required. If you can no longer attend, kindly cancel your registration to open your spot to others.

  • Date subject to change due to inclement weather.
