Lunch n' Learn Series: What Do We Eat?

  • Virtual session via Microsoft Teams (map)

What Do We Eat?

Thursday, February 29; 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Virtual Talk with Chris Stein, National Park Service

Please join park staff, partners, and volunteers for our next Lunch and Learn speaker program on Thursday, February 29th.   Our speaker is National Park Ranger Chris Stein who will tell us about the Midwest Region's National Heritage Area program as well as the Community Conservation Partnership called Operation Pollination.  After spending a career managing parks across the country to protect and interpret nationally significant natural and cultural resources, Chris has realized that "protecting the little things that run the world" (our precious pollinators) is one of the most important conservation actions you can take...in your own yard!  While not providing administrative oversight for our Region's nine very special, Congressionally designated National Heritage Areas (NHAs), Chris helps connect NHAs, partners, and communities (around the world) to help protect pollinators.
