Instructors from the National Park Service and Paddle Bridge Guide Collective will lead participants on a guided paddle of Pickerel Lake. Participants can expect to alternate between paddling and activities and games on shore. Tandem and solo kayaks with a variety of adaptive equipment will be available, including supported hand adaptations or specialized outriggers for balance. A kayak, paddle, and life jacket will be provided. Participants should bring water, a hat, weather appropriate clothes, shoes that can get wet, and sunscreen. Pickerel Lake is a small lake with abundant wildlife.
Participants will meet at the parking lot (44.91995454533804, -93.12123988962405) at the juncture of West Water Street and Lilydale Road, just east of the pavilion. A handicap port-a-potty is on-site. Please do not leave valuables in your car.

Adaptive Recreation Notes and Guidelines:
Saint Paul Parks and Recreation will adhere to the guidance of the CDC and MN Department of Health. The programs offered may require modifications based on future public health recommendations.
Some roster numbers will be limited, so early registration is highly recommended.
You will be notified by phone and /or email if a roster has been filled and if an activity needs to be cancelled (a site conflict, weather etc.). Otherwise, assume activity will be taking place.
When leaving voice mail messages, include full name(s) AND a phone number.
Please schedule your own transportation no more than 15 minutes before & after the time of activities.
If you are not feeling well, please do not attend.
Dress appropriately for activities. You may bring your own water bottles.
