What is Employer Matching?
Many companies offer incentive programs for staff that give volunteer time and financial support to nonprofit organizations in their community. These programs range from Matching Gifts Programs, where the company will match an employee’s contribution, to Volunteer Incentive Programs, where the company will make a contribution to an organization of the employee’s choice in exchange for volunteer time at the organization. When you volunteer in the park, you may qualify for your company’s programs.
Dollars for Doers
Dollars for Doers is a corporate giving program that allows you to make a donation through your company for hours worked as a volunteer. Similar programs include Volunteer Grant Programs, Matching Time-Programs, Dollar for Hour Programs, and Grants for Time. If your employer participates in one of these programs, you will simply need to report your volunteer hours so your company can reward you and the Mississippi River.
By directing gifts to Mississippi Park Connection, the official charitable partner of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, you can leverage your support for your national park.
